Born Latrece Joi Russell, November 13, 1986. A graduate of Oak Forest High School, Ms. Russell furthered her education at Clark Atlanta University. She successfully obtained a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and is currently enrolled in Ashworth College with a Master in Marketing in progress.
Ms. Russell at the age of eight years old she found herself as the motivational speaker for many church and community events. Growing up with Turner Syndrome, Ms. Russell faced many challenges but always kept her drive and ambition to succeed. Even in the face of adversity, Ms. Russell has been and is a positive influence to all those whom she crosses.
November of 2010, Ms. Russell developed Joi Doll Inc, thus taking on entrepreneurship, one of the most challenging yet rewarding tasks she ever faced. Joi Doll Inc is the home of the 1st ever inspirational, educational, motivational speaking doll. Ms. Russell believes the Joi Doll will educate, motivate and inspire young girls throughout the world.
Since the creation of Joi Doll, Ms. Russell has also created a foundation Developing D.O.L.L INC. who have hosted many community-based events throughout the Chicagoland area such as reading with youth to promote literacy and organizing educational seminars and food drives donating food and other nonperishable items to women and children shelters, along with hosting entrepreneurial and character-building forums for adolescents and teens
Alongside her Corporation and Non-For-profit, Ms. Russell has authored a book entitled Making of A Doll an autobiography that highlights pivotal moments and encounters that have shaped her to be the person we all know to be published in early 2021.
In addition to educational and professional endeavors, Ms. Russell also finds her actively involved/affiliated with not only her church, Family Christian Center, but other social and service organizations including, OES, NAACP, NCNW, NCBW100, TLOD, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. Ms. Russell Community involvement and Professional achievement has caused Ms. Russell to be recognized and honored by several organizations throughout the Chicagoland area which includes the 100 Black Queens of Chicago.
